For the past 1.5 months...
This is going to be long.
Backdated to the day I gave birth.
::My Birth Story::
30th April 2010.
Midnight, we proceeded to Thomson Medical Centre and the induction began at 1am.
By 2am, I was pushed into hospital ward.
At 3am, I felt tummy-ache.
It gets more and more intense every hour.
It had to be contraction. I couldn't even catch a glimpse.

Untill 7am, I lied, walked, crunched, nothing eased the pain and.... Breakfast was served.
The motivation of pushing the baby later made me swallowed my food.
At 7.30am, I could no longer withstand the pain and requested to be admitted to labour ward.
While I was making my way there, I felt my waterbag burst and the pain was sharp.
Moaned and groaned my way down...

By 8:30am, gynae arrived to check on my cervix, it was 4cm dilated.
I was told I will give birth that day.
In pain, I had to skipped to clear my stool, cleaned myself and help myself to the delivery suite.

At 9am, epidural injected, my pain eventually subsided.
At 9:30am, ctg test shows unfavorable result to the baby, to prevent baby distress, gynae decided to call off natural birth and had an emergency c-section.
Everything else after that happened too fast.
All I knew, my baby was taken out from tummy.
All I knew, my baby was taken out from tummy.
Our bundle of joy, Baby Lucas, arrived in this world.
::Confinement::
It's a world of hell and I disliked it!! Booooo!!!!
It made me think twice of having a 2nd baby.
The whole of May was hovered under weather that was unbearably hot and humid.
Totally in foul mood.
::Full Month!!::
30th May 2010
Full month!! Yay!!! 120 guests, 2 sessions, we held it at our love nest.
Baby Lucas slept throughout.
So unfriendly of him. :D
At least, he wasn't cranky.
Nice to see friends bringing the whole family along, wives, husbands, children!
We had a great day though tired.
::Parenthood::
Confinement lady left in the evening of 31st May, and our actual challenge begins!
Everyday, first thing in the morning is laundry.
Then catch a bite (if I manage to).
Magic-cleaned the floor.
Feed baby.
Bath baby.
Play with baby.
Coax baby.
Carry baby.
Sleep with baby.
Wake up and devote most of the time for baby.
Then comes, night feed.
Many times, I forgot if I brushed my teeth, forgot to have our meals.
I merely find time to have my toilet break.
And when finally I had some time, I need to express milk.
And when I had the time to shower, I rather be sleeping.
My day is always on a time check, every 3 hourly.
We are very tired, time is passing too fast for us to even had a moment.
::Till date::
We have much or less adapted to such lifestyle.
Changing and bathing Lucas has become a breeze...
At this stage, he is still quite a handful.
Lucas has begun his Ang-ge-ge and Ahh..boo..
He has let out his first smile and a little bit more every day.
::At 7 weeks::
Lucas is 5.5kg and 59.6cm tall.
He is already able to lift and hold his head.
Lucas is doing excellent, PD said.
Maturing faster than most babies at his age.
As parents, it's always glad to hear that our baby is growing strong and healthy.
::Mummy leh..::
Still trying to get out of her L size body.
Wardrobe has nothing that fits anymore.
And wonder if UK size 4 is becoming a dream.
Had gone out on 3 occasions leaving father alone with baby.
First, was Amanda's wedding which I only had 3 dishes and went home.
Secondly, my first time participating in gatherings organised by mummies I knew through the forum.
Everyone brought their babies along.
Everyone brought their babies along.
I left earlier cause I was beginning to miss my own baby. heee....
Lastly, so far the only one that I did not have that urge to be home so soon...
if not because he wanted to catch the world cup match.
It was our B'dae Vgers, Ying and Sally, gathering at La Strada.
Not many photos, but all were captured.
The night was Simple, Relax and Joyful. And, Lots of Laughters!!!
I need them in my life.
