One week in UK.

We manage to sneak out for a week to one of my favorite destination, London. The flight on the way up was very empty that we have a row each to rest. Everything in London still smells familiar. And, we were lucky to have 2 days of sun. Slow and easy, we shopped, walked, ate and caught a musical.
We took off on the road to Cambridge. Pretty excited about it as I thought I would be visiting the renown university. But, it seemed much further than we expected. Or it seemed like we were there already but not yet, because their campus are all over Cambridge and there were many others colleges and universities. Oh... Cambridge is a beautiful town on its own. Warmified naturally... Love it there, felt like I had a role in a novel. Thought it was more romantic than France. High school romance... sweet!

By the time we reached Nottingham, it was late. He booked to stay in an apartment for the night. Didn't have too much time to enjoy it. I love the cottage style kitchen. It's huge, almost bigger than my 2 into 1 bedroom. It is furnished with a big island in the center and spacious pastel blue with floral prints wooden cabinets all. The hob, the hood, the kitchen tools... make it so complete. I want that kitchen!

We visited his university in Leicester the next day. And we were hit mentally on our way to the airport. It was storming, there were roadworks on the motorway... and we thought we were going to miss our flight. For, I have a funeral to attend and on how much we miss our lil rascal at home, we simply couldn't afford to. Chasing with time, we manage to check in our luggage only 45min before the actual flight departure time. The flight was overbooked. We were seated at different end. It doesn't matter, really. All we wanted was to be home for those who needed us and we needed them. Perhaps, the good thing was that we manage to do tax refund, despite of the rush. Haha!
