The One Week At Home

The one week as a stay-at-home-mum passed like a breeze. I was not sure how did I spend it with the little one. Oh.. oh... Everyday seemed to be in a daze.

On days when daddy was around, we manage to attend 2 gatherings. It was good to see Lucas took shorter time to warm up at unfamiliar places, it could also be because I have learnt to have one of us to stay with him until he is comfortable to move away on his own. Or it could be the stage. Another day that I really like was when we were playing with bubbles along our corridor. It was raining. The neighbours kids were out to play as well. The children were squeaking and laughing with joy, chasing the bubbles. The adults too! :D I think I haven't seen so much bubbles for the longest time. Simply enjoy watching Lucas playing with other children. And they were later invited to play in our house.

Mummy was enjoying very much, perhaps more than Lucas. Suddenly, I missed the going from door to door, playing police and thieves with the neighbourhood children at the void deck, hide and seek in the building which such scenes seem to have gradually diminished. Or was it my neighbourhood only. Don't talk about kampung. I didn't have chance to have a taste of it. Now, every parents calls it playdate. A date whereby children get together while the mummies will start to share and learn about the children. But I cannot remember my parents were with me where i played leh....

Here are some photos of past week.

I came across some examples of montessori teaching methods. One of the area it covers is Practical life. Above is one of the simplest tools we can get from home. He also enjoys the wiping and sweeping. Magic clean is what we gave him occasionally and he will be very happy to help (play). Well, we just do not want to kill his enthu in helping with the chores. haha...

Toddlers love flipping. He is not otherwise. Winnie the Pooh is his favorite companion.

He does not like to be fed with the cone. He prefers to eat it from the spoon. Weird boy.
