An off day at home.

I imagined that it would be just like yesterday if I am going to be a stay at home mum despite we had the part time helper in the first half of the day.

Lucas woke up as early as the helper arrived and that usually made it no me-time. However, I am always a little bit more relax whenever the helper is around because he would become very eager to follow the helper around, and be yakking away.

Well, he still had his usual routine- wash up (yes, I started his oral hygiene routine.), play, breakfast, shower, flashcards. By this time, either he will continue playing by himself or be watching his favorite cartoon (Thomas & Friends). Yesterday, I brought him to the playground, instead, just a few blocks away. In fact, I always wish I could make this playground session an every morning activity but there is no room for the time we had. I was really happy that I made it a point on this particular off day. :D

It's another milestone to see him climbing up the toddlers obstacles and being able to slide on his own. He enjoyed the simple rides and went through the climbing and sliding until I told him that it was time to go home.

Having more ability to understand us now, he is starting to have little conversation with us. Like, when we ask where did u go? He replied, 婆婆's house. And whose car did you sit? 姨婆's car! It's really cute to hear the way a toddler responds.

Anyway, after lunch and cartoons, Lucas took his nap. D was working on the same evening, I started to prepare for dinner for the King and the Prince at the same time. It was also my first experience with the Happy Call Pan, I made Char Siew. It was one of D's favorite. He managed to had a bite from the freshly grilled before we left home.

My parents were over for dinner in the evening. Yes, char siew rice and char siew wraps. Here, for the char siew recipe.

Definitely, a very complete day for me with the evening routines and dinner. I can't say I dread it, as I kind of like how the off day has been spent, but not so sure if I have to repeat all the same everyday.

Christmas is coming real soon! Have you gotten all the presents ready?
