It's Snake Year 2013.

蛇年快乐! It was a really long weekend for many. So long that I seemed to be swimming in holiday mood. It has been really exhausting but a happy one. I have not really been logging in for updates. Therefore, a little bit on what has been going on and what to expect. ONE MORE WEEK! We will be meeting Leanne. Yes, Leanne is her name. Lots of things seemed unprepared. But I guess it does not really matter. We shall just look forward to the wails.  At 36 weeks and 5 days, her estimated weight is 3kg. Heavier than Lucas's estimated weight when he was 38 weeks. Well, being a girl, I hope she can inherit my figure. Not that I had the best but anytime better than the father for a female. LOL. So not too heavy bone like the brother please.  I hope this week will past smoothly and there will be no surprise.  Weather has been cool and let's hope it stays this way.  Give me full support in going through my confinement. Perhaps the last chance I have to fully recuperat...

In exactly 5 weeks...

And the day comes! I was reminded how much I should really treasure the quiet and peace now before the day. However, how much quiet and peace would I gain? Lol. Perhaps I am not there yet- having 2 kids at the same time. Now, I only hope for the day to come soon! Real soon because I want my body back to normal so that I can skip and chase around and perform my duties normally, without the heavy melon (or honeydew) that gave me backache, breathlessness and, once again, I'm in the stage of meeting Z monster. Lots of anticipation for this newborn but yet the excitement was silent. Too much ongoing before she's coming to this world. Now that I really have a moment to myself, I'm going to spend it with her. 5 more weeks!

Colorfully Fascinated!

I am so excited with my first purchase! I don't know why. And I am just going to show it to you many times!

Self-managed.

Image
I have not been in my best mood and I am sure you learnt about it from my previous posts. Took some time off to manage myself and realised that I may have been very grumpy to becoming very bothered by others grumbles. Since I choose not wanting to share my grumps, the time off to manage my emotion was greatly needed and strongly felt the need of getting out of it.  Whether or not, life goes on. What took my mind away this time was doing some paper cutting for an activity, which I would like to introduce to Lucas tomorrow.  I ever declared I hated art and craft . So please pardon my drawing. Got an idea already? Yes, it is from the internet again. I used the piece of sponge stamp art work , which he did it at home, to cut them into shapes of clothes. It's an off day for me tomorrow. May it be a fruitful one. Goodnight peeps!

Getting things into place.

Nearly 2 weeks have zoomed passed for 2012. There has been alot of spring cleaning, organising and traveling for us. Hubby was sick. Lucas has started school, twice a week. Once, I had a random thought while I was on the road but because I do not have the habit of jotting them down, I vaguely remembered.  When time is concerned, I realised I cannot be doing so many things at one time, therefore I must do less.  (wahaha) When monetary is concerned, there is a need to ensure my expenses is in proportion with the income now. When relationship is concerned, I need to master the skill of "one ear in, the other out"  When VB girls are concerned, we need more mahjong sessions!  They inadvertently sounded like the resolutions for the year when I have stopped making resolutions for past few years.  Like I have mentioned, Lucas started to go to playgroup. My main intention is for him to have fun and the opportunity to socialise. He cried and did not wan...

Waken up by a nightmare.

Hello, it's 5.57am. I was waken up by a craziest nightmare that led to tears. I found it rather hilarious but what's with me not able to return to sleep thereafter? Perhaps this will help. Goodnight once again.

A Short Note

Lucas was sick and still. It's almost a week already. :( Lucas is damn funny and really fun to play with, despite it is a tantrum stage. :D Hummingbird cake for mummy's birthday tomorrow. :) Secretly, I am wishing to go back to fly.....  now, not a secret anymore. >.<

Off day.Cook.home

I am always looking forward to my off days. I love them to bits! On days I have no appointment, I like spending it at home, getting chores done and preparing meals for the 2 masters at home- Like a housewife. I have been picking up the habit of flipping the cookbooks for menus. I used what I have in the fridge to search for a suitable recipe. My mum does marketing for me most of the time. She always fills my refrigerator with food for Lucas that last a few days. Randomly, she will also buy some ingredient for me to cook for ourselves. We had green and red carrot with red dates soup today. For main, we had grilled porkchop with self invented garlic mustard sauce and broccoli side. Lucas get to taste the soup with mee sua, for a change. In the fridge now, I have 2 salmon steaks and 6 chicken winglets. They are the main for tomorrow. Suddenly, I am loving my not so fully equipped kitchen. :) Heart simple days.

Happiness= My Choice

Somebody on FB did a translation of the lyrics. I think it's so suitable for a EL1 D7 person, me. Not that I don't understand the song in chinese. But I just it's so fun to be reading it in English! To give for love.. To be busy for living.. T o be worn out (tired, hardwork) for what? I record it down in details... Chorus: With both my eyes... Searching for directions in dreams.. When need to ask for directions... I will not act cool... I am still unclear... What kind of speed... Matches the pace of changes in this world... Life is like waiting for the clay for creation.. Blessed life.. the blessed life I want.. is starting get clearer. Dreams, aspirations, delusion, fantasy, wishful thinking... I only wish to stay firm on every step of direction I should take... Even though the journey might occasionally have despair... Life is the clothings you choose to wear.. Blessed life.. the blessed life I want... got no restrictions... Blessed life.. the blessed life I want.. is n...

For the past 1.5 months...

This is going to be long.  Backdated to the day I gave birth. ::My Birth Story:: 30th April 2010. Midnight, we proceeded to Thomson Medical Centre and the induction began at 1am. By 2am, I was pushed into hospital ward.  At 3am, I felt tummy-ache. It gets more and more intense every hour. It had to be contraction. I couldn't even catch a glimpse.  Untill 7am, I lied, walked, crunched, nothing eased the pain and.... Breakfast was served. The motivation of pushing the baby later made me swallowed my food.  At 7.30am, I could no longer withstand the pain and requested to be admitted to labour ward. While I was making my way there, I felt my waterbag burst and the pain was sharp. Moaned and groaned my way down...  By 8:30am, gynae arrived to check on my cervix, it was 4cm dilated. I was told I will give birth that day. In pain, I had to skipped to clear my stool, cleaned myself and help myself to the delivery suite.  At 9am, epidu...

How Ready Am I..

to become a mother? I simply have no answer. Now, I would think it is very normal for a baby to fall from the bed. Not that I wish it will happen neither do I want it to happen, but it just seemed to happen to most of my friends' babies. Now, I would want my baby to stand up on his own whenever he falls or trips instead of relying upon us to carry him up all the time. Now, I do not disagree with caning because this is how most of us grew up. Now, I would want to total breastfeed my baby as long as I could. Now, I want to make sure he eats whatever I feed him and not fussy over food. Now, there are so many that I think I will do.... I do not know how I would change when baby has arrived. A piece of advice from a friend was, while overly being a parent, do not forget about being a spouse. All of us want to be the best parents, thus, we tend to forget about being a spouse.... Will keep that in mind.

How is Lucas doing?

All the false alarm and the waiting game, I really have no clue when Lucas decides to come out.  Daddy is already getting impatient, and he will ask Lucas everyday,"When are you coming out?" From the scans, it is really amazing how Lucas coiled himself in my tummy.  Facing down and inwards now, he enjoys putting his butt up and kicked me with his little left foot.  He loves hide and seek with Auntie Angeline while she tried to spot for him with the CTG detector. He disappeared a few times and Auntie Angeline has to start looking for him and we got to let the test run even longer and mummy has to wait even longer... Naughty Daddy calls him naughty boy. Even though my tired legs, warm body, achy back, and breathless chest... I am starting to love him in me. Together, we sleep, we eat and we listen to music. And, the way he disturbed me.  It is such a simple joy.

Week 38

And... I have not popped! Eating more, religiously, has produced good result. Baby Lucas has gained 300g within a week and made him weighing at around 2.9kg now. I would think durian really helps! Water bag level has amazingly resumed from an index of 6.7cm to 8.1cm. Currently, I have gained a total of exactly 17kg. My lesson learnt? Going on a diet during pregnancy is not right. It caused hubby lost of money, lost of leaves, lost of time and waste of false anticipation. I also told myself, right now till delivery would be the fattest days in my life! Determined to fit into my wedding cheongsam once again! Everything else remained the same... So.... Let's Wait! =) Oh! And I am officially resting at home now... Yay!

Anytime

The frequency and strength of Braxton Hick has increased for the past 2 days. It's causing contraction and pain at the pelvis, but I learnt my lesson and not wanting to get too alarmed. It feels like real thing is going to happen any time which I couldn't take charge. All I can do is keep telling him to make it happen with Daddy! Bless us!

All prep for his arrival

The Belongings Of Baby Lucas...

Week 37

We got ready the maternity bag and necessary documents in the car... Heading to TMC uncertain about the delivery today. Water bag level is back to normal. Baby's weight didn't change much. Baby's head not engaged and there's still no sign of dilation. No induced birth, therefore. Hubby has wasted his 10days of leave. Now he had to do adjustment, on top of day he lost a 8 days pattern allowance. Even though we understand money is secondary, but couldn't help to feel the pain. We considered to c-sect on an auspicious date some time next week to save the leave. Then again, in my heart, I want a natural delivery. We shall wait patiently to D-day, not later than 5th of may. Bless us with a smooth natural delivery.... Please...

Lucas says "Thank You!"

A little gift from Caleb's mum.... :)

Me?

I analysed depression on her.... Am I the cause??? I am not unhappy.. Just need to be more cheerful... And I will...

Week 36

Baby is still slightly smaller than average size. Mummy, however, has gained another 3kg that makes a total of 14kg. We did a growth scan, baby growth rate falls within normal limit, placenta of good height, amblical cord blood flow normal, except aminotic fluid is reduced. Aminiotic fluid seemed to be the water bag level. Dr Wong explained that it was due to lacking in absorption of nutrients which also explained the size. It's not a big matter, just that Dr Wong would not want baby to stay in my tummy for too long if the aminotic fluid index is going to below 6cm which is now 6.7cm. Therefore, it also means, Dr Wong would like to induce birth next week if the aminotic fluid does not fall at favorable index. Looks like we will be seeing Lucas soon....

35th Week....

Tummy is getting much bigger which also means it takes more effort carrying it walking and standing. His movements became larger and more frequent. Sometimes, it feels like the baby is falling out. Can feel, he is starting to engage. As much as I wanted so many things right from the beginning, I have learnt to gradually let go. Yet, there is one thing that I am becoming more and more particular. Breastfeeding. From uncertain about my determination to breastfeed, to breastfeed and formula mix, to total breastfeeding. I read so much into it, that expectation begins to arise. Due to my mum's illness record, I began my regular breast ultrasound and pap smear much earlier than most of my friends. I have a huge cyst on one side and many smaller ones around. They may seem harmless but I am encouraged to go for a mammogram which I did not after a second opinion because mammogram is very harmful and I am too young for it. I googled. Seen a regular doctor and visited Yen's gynae, Dr Kowa...
