ProjectP- Week 4 to 6

Image
It has been considered smooth and fun so far and many decisions were made solely from impressions of magazine and mental visualization. Finally, this decision making phase has ended (I think so). Before all the nitty gritty stuffs come in, I shall wait patiently for magic to happen. Nothing feels right right now, yet does not feel wrong. Though one says it turns out best when you least expected it, I am still feeling a bit that nervous. It is still a cool hue house. Apparently, we still leaned towards monochromatic theme with grey. Wanting a bit more warmth so the whole place looks more homely, some wooden furniture will be introduced.  There cannot be no conflict throughout the process. Usually, I prefer simple consistency, whereas husband is more adventurous. Example, I usually hate a different color in each room, I had to relent to it cos I was asked to spare a thought for the people staying in the house *rolled eyes*. So there is going to be a different look for each to...

ProjectP- Week 2 and 3

It was probably the most messy phase that I thought one visit would be enough until the tiling mess is completed. There have been many ongoing decision making down to smallest details. Now we were heads up to start looking at laminates. Frankly, I couldn't catch with contractor's pace at all. With hub working schedule, I could only piece up messages we sent to each other phone, doodles, and vague discussion face to face. 😅    Here's one of our warriors mixing the cement.   I do not know how to describe this. Mixed feelings when we chose this tile. They helped us to lay all in the same direction. It's acceptable.    Dry lay.

ProjectP- Week 1

Image
It feels good that renovation has begun yet it gives jitters without 3D sketches. No idea is probably a good idea. Just go with the flow. So layout has been defined, there will not be much changes. Mainly left with selection of materials and paints along the way.  We confirmed tiles selection at Hafary within 3 hours. It was quite amazing. I thought we will take days. Appliances and other necessities were bought without much fuss other than negotiating or looking for a good price. Looks like tight timeline didn't make us think too much.  Time to completion? Estimated, 8 weeks.

Fengshui

Whenever I am stuck and not knowing how to go about the layout arrangement for the house, I rely on Fengshui. We very much would like to seek professional Fengshui advice but worried about restrictions to the theme or style we prefer. And there are so many, so many advices about fengshui globally that can be found online. I had to tell myself just go for one. It sounds logical I guess. There are so many choices in everything, we had to decide to stick with one. Thus, I had been going to this link to help in my decision making:- https://www.fengshuimastersingapore.sg Via So why Fengshui Master Singapore? It is a Singapore website and the advices are liberal. Informative yet get to the point.  We have shortlisted 2 contractors. Just need some final details and decision making, we will be able to kickstart.
