100111 marked our 2nd wedding anniversary. Happy Anniversary!
Like last year, I baked. It's not easy to find time with a baby and work to bake a cake, thus, it's done way past midnight. By the time the cakes are baked and glazed, it's almost 2am.
I used premix cake powder from WhiteWings. And did the chocolate ganache found here. How does it taste? Hmmm.... Not bad la. I was supposed to use icing to write happy 2nd anniversary on the cakes which I gave up in the end. Thus, I just threw some decorations onto each. :p
He booked a Romantic Getaway Package at Ritz Carlton. We checked in on the 9th after participating a baby gym trial class with Lucas, organised by the forum mummy. We shopped at Marina Square. I went into almost every other shop, SALES are everywhere, indulge in Andersen's Ice Cream and more shopping. In the end I got myself a further discounted dress from Bershka and a short from Cotton On. Pretty contented. Shopping hasn't been this therapeutic for awhile.
We headed back to our room. So, it's supposed to be a romantic getaway. There were hot bath came with a bottle of champagne, strawberries and cream, and a bouquet of flowers. Then, in-room dining. The next thing we knew, we woke up from nap taken right after dinner, and tucked ourselves back to sleep again. Yah, we were darn tired, either that or drunk over the small glasses of champagne.
He managed to wake up to the gym while I continue to have my longed beauty sleep. How shiok is that.
The breakfast buffet spread was indeed six star. Enjoyed it very much.
